Business continuity management (BCM) and IT Diaster Recovery (DR) are critical issues for most companies: BCM and IT DR allow organizations to continue functioning during unanticipated or unplanned events. Such events include downtime (i.e. the company is not able to provide any service) due to either technology or facilities unavailability, and data loss. BCM and IT DR must consider all threats, both external and internal (for example, earthquake, fire, flood, disease, cyber attack, sabotage, hurricane, terrorism, utility outage, etc.) and must assess their business impact.
